Our youth program is for people in years 7-12 (or equivalent). We mostly meet on Friday nights, taking a break during the school holidays.
When you join us at one of our youth events, you can expect a mix of fun, food and a focus on Jesus.
Unless noted specifically, youth events run from 6:30-9pm on Fridays.
Each night we ask that you bring along $10 that will cover the costs of the event, including dinner.
Dates
March 31 – Many of our youth will be participating in the Relay for Life and you are invited to join them. The event is a fundraiser for those impacted by cancer, hosted on the front oval of Plenty Valley Christian College. The relay itself is surrounded by a festival of food, drinks, games and live music. You can join in the relay yourself (it’s a $20 donation to participate) or simply be part of the festival. One of our leaders, Glen Fairweather will be there from 6:30 and is available to link Plentylife youth in with other Plentylife youth when you arrive, as well as direct you to various activities. His number is 0409 334 556. The event finishes at 11pm(!) but you’re welcome to head home whenever is convenient.
It is important for parents/guardians to note that this is a non-supervised event from a Plentylife point of view. We are not running the event and do not guarantee the supervision of anyone who attends. It is an all ages, family event, you are most welcome to come along and enjoy the occasion together as a family.
April 7 – Good Friday service, 10am at Mernda Central College
April 28 – Mernda Central College
Our Building
Most weeks, we meet in the Wellbeing Building at Mernda Central College. It is well setup for our needs with various game spaces, areas to relax and kitchen facilities. The building itself is a short walk from the carpark on Trevi Drive. It is important for youth and parents to familiarise yourselves with how to get to and from our meeting space as it is a large school with many buildings. Where we meet is directly opposite the enormous gum tree that grows next to the cricket oval so if you get lost, head to the tree and that will get you nice and close. See the map below.

Registration
New to Plentylife youth? To ensure we run a safe program for all young people, we ask everyone attending to fill in this registration form with their parent/guardian. It will take a few minutes but do it once at the start of the year and you won’t need to do it again unless your details change. 🙂
